TTMM ("The Trip Money Manager"/Tera Tu Mera Main/Tujhe Tu Majhe Mi) is designed to simplify group expenses and trip split tracking for friends, families, and travel companions. We prioritize your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal information collected.
02 Information We Collect
To run the application and sync details across trip members, we collect minimal but necessary information:
- Account Credentials: If you use Google Sign-In or your email address, we securely store your email, name, and profile picture URL.
- Trip & Expense Data: Group names, currencies, transaction records (amounts, descriptions, dates, and payer IDs), and shares.
- Receipt Images (AI Scanning): When utilizing the "Scan Receipt with AI" feature, the receipt image you upload is temporarily processed to extract transaction items (amounts and descriptions). These images are processed on-the-fly and are never stored permanently or used for secondary purposes.
03 How We Use Your Information
We collect and process your information strictly to operate, maintain, and provide the services of the TTMM application:
- Calculating precise debts and balances among your trip mates.
- Providing real-time updates and synchronization of trip transactions across all participating devices.
- Analyzing receipt photos via the Google Gemini AI integration to automatically fill in details.
- Personalizing currency display preferences.
04 Data Sharing & Collaboration
TTMM is a collaborative platform. To enable shared tracking, certain information is visible to other users:
- Your display name, profile photo, and trip split details are visible to other participants who join the same trips via invitation links.
- We do not sell, rent, or distribute your personal information to third-party advertising networks or corporate entities.
05 Data Security & Service Providers
Your data is secured using modern cloud services:
- Firebase Firestore & Auth: All account metadata, authorization tokens, and transaction logs are housed securely in Firebase, guarded by robust security policies.
- Google Gemini API: Receipt analysis is powered on-demand via the Google Gemini SDK.
06 Your Choices & Data Deletion
You have absolute control over your travel data:
You can remove expenses, alter split details, leave joined trips, or delete tripmates from trip configurations directly through the application. All updates are applied instantly in the database.
